School Sports Media (SSM) was launched in 2010 by the same partners that own and operate one of the leading digital advertising representation firms in the country, Winstar Interactive Media. Winstar has been representing digital media properties across hundreds of verticals since 1996. Together, SSM and Winstar make up the two primary operating units of Mission Media Services, Inc.
School Sports Media is a product of Dave Shamberger and John Foley, both fathers to growing young families in NY and FL. They set out with an original goal of uncovering new revenue sources for their local schools and teams. Foley and Shamberger quickly realized their 40+ years of combined experience within media and advertising channels, could be utilized on a much larger scale. Today School Sports Media maintains a database of over 20,000 schools across the country. The database platform is built to support the sponsor demand driven sales organization structure SSM has built, enabling advertisers the ability to map schools using latitude and longitude coordinates. With several product enhancements rolled out already this year and additional expansion underway, School Sports Media is poised to become the leader in school representation services.
